Battle royale game Apex Legends is set to add a new, permanent game mode called Arena. The new game mode will allow two teams only, in 3v3 combat stretched over multiple rounds. The Arena game mode will be added to Apex Legends as part of the upcoming Legacy update.
Before each new round, you’ll be able to get new weapons and upgrades, and also ordnance and healing supplies, based on what materials you earned in the previous round. So, prepare your loadout well, make the necessary changes and then jump into the next round. As such, a new round is not an entirely fresh start for both the teams but a slightly longer, drawn out battle with focus on collecting and using materials.
If you get killed in any round, you cannot respawn with the help of your teammates. Wait for your chance in the next round. Killing all the players on the enemy squad wins you the round. To win an Arenas match, a team needs to win at least three rounds and be two points ahead of the enemy team.
However, if your opponent is able to win at least two rounds, “you’ll have to pull ahead by two full rounds to win. Going 3-2 or 4-3 won’t cut it. Instead, you’ll have to go 4-2 or 5-3 to secure victory. Rounds will continue until one team pulls ahead by two rounds. If this continues all the way to the ninth round (by going 4-4) the game kicks into sudden death mode. Whoever wins round nine takes home all the glory.”, said EA in a blogpost.
