Investing.com — and the have gained a percent each on each of the two trading sessions this week. Will they take a breather today or will they open up again? Global trends indicate that markets are expected to open flat to positive even as the US markets had a lackluster day.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:) announced its earnings on Monday and its shares have dropped. US futures are trading mixed with and futures up 0.11% and 0.16% respectively while are down 0.15%.
Asian markets are also mixed with and the trading up 0.37% and 0.17% respectively while is down 0.83% as of this report.
For India, in Singapore are trading up 0.83% which indicates a positive start for Indian markets. Nifty closed well over the 14,500 level yesterday. If it can sustain its level, the next barrier is 14,800. VIX, the fear gauge, has come down to 23,08 from 23.49. However, bulls can breathe a sigh of relief only when it comes below 20.
News on the COVID front is mixed. Mumbai, India’s financial capital, is reporting lower cases but India as a whole reported over 3.62 lakh cases on Tuesday and 3,286 deaths, both records so far. This is the first day that India has seen over 3,000 deaths in 24 hours since the pandemic started.
