The new Instagram Reels Remix feature will be enabled by default for every new Reel. In case users want to remix their older Reels then they will have to enable the feature manually.
In order to enable the Remix feature, users have to tap on the three dot menu of the Reel and then select ‘enable remixing’.
It is also quite easy to remix a Reel. Users again have to click on the three dot menu and then select ‘Remix this Reel’. Now a new screen will appear with the original Reel playing on the left side of the screen.
On the other hand, the right side will show the new video that will go up. Users can either select the new video or can also record a fresh one as per their liking. Instagram has given the same editing options for remixing a Reel which include timer, adding effects, adding audio and more.
Instagram will enable the remixing option by default for new Reel. In case you don’t want to use this feature, then you can also disable this. For disabling the Remix option you have to go to Setting>Privacy>Reels>Enable remixing. You just have to turn off the toggle given to enable remixing.
This new feature is available for Android and iOS users worldwide.
