Smartphone major Samsung is set to launch its first 5G phone under Galaxy M series in India today. The company will announce Samsung Galaxy M42 5G at 12pm.
The smartphone is being teased by the company online with the tagline ‘Fastest Monster’. Online commerce platform Amazon has created a microsite of the upcoming phone, hinting at the phone’s availability via Amazon in the country.
Samsung Galaxy M42 5G: What to expect
As per the Amazon listing page, the handset will come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G mobile processor. It is teased to come with the company’s Knox security defence system, along with features like AltZLife, and Content Suggestions.
The smartphone will also be equipped with Samsung Pay to facilitate online payments. In the images shared on Amazon webpage, one can see a quad camera sensor on the phone’s back. It is rumored that the phone may offer a 64MP main camera.
While a punch-hole camera can be seen at the front. It is expected to feature a 32MP selfie camera. Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is expected to run Android 11 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of One UI 3.
Online reports suggest that the smartphone may house a 6,000 mAh battery. The handset is said to come in three colour options — Blue, Black and White.
